With Edge of Beyond sitting on its own domain as a separate site, there is the possibility of changing the boards from just focusing solely on ReBoot to other things such as Anime and Gaming. As I also run another site (Animay) this would allow that site to use Edge of Beyond for feedback and discussion on anime topics as well as anyone else who would like to chat about anime. Gaming is also another big topic that could be set up as its own section rather than just a small board. Currently you see the structure as:
Welcome to the Beyond (Category)
The Baudway Times (board)
Board Stuff (Child board) Site Stuff (Child board) etc
The Core (Category)
RBM Article discussions (Board)etc etc
The proposal is to reduce the ReBoot section slightly (it may be increased after/if ReBoot revival happens) and add in Animay and Gaming sections. For example:
ReBoot Mayhem (Category)
News (Board)
Fan Stuff (Board) etc
Animay (Category)
Top 10 Characters (Board)
Gundam Goodness (Board)
Shinigami Haven (Bleach discussions (Board) etc
Game on (Category)
Sony (Board)
PS2 (child board) PS3 (Child board) PSP (Child Board)
Nintendo (Board)
Wii (child board) Gameboy/Gameboy Advanced (child board) DS (child board)
Microsoft (Board)
Xbox (child board) Xbox 360 (child board)
PC (Board)
World of Warcraft (Child Board) etc
There'd also be additional sections for other entertainment discussions including books, comics, movies, tv shows and music, and of course the Spamzone section will definitely be retained.
If you're interested in seeing the boards expand outside of ReBoot to attract more visitors and more discussions please vote yes. Suggestions are also welcome on the structure of the boards. Obviously the gallery section will also be revamped to reflect any changes made here. If you have any questions feel free to post them here or send me a PM.

You know my feelings on this  You could also add in a tech support - or tech talk section. The whole gaming\ pc boards could be called Games and Tech or something like that, to include discussions outside of gaming such as Phones or TV tech and help. |

If any one else wants to vote for or against this please vote now as I'll be closing off this poll and going by whatever results are there. The preference would be for a large number of votes as a small amount only indicates that people currently on the boards are the only ones interested in the change. You don't have to post anything in response but a vote would be appreciated. The poll will close by the end of the weekend.

I voted a while back, but I'm just, y'know, an idiot who can't remember to do stuff like explain.
I think widening the boundaries of the website would be a good idea, definitely one that would keep it afloat in traffic. It's pretty clear that ReBoot's dead, much as I really hate to say that. I'll gladly take it back at the first sign of something that doesn't completely screw itself up, but for now, I'm all for adding new stuff to the boards.

Okay, well although we've had some promising news about ReBoot I think its still fair to say we will go ahead with the expansion on the boards. A suggested layout is below but I'm really looking for further input. The listing below is an outline of the changes made but doesn't include the Spamzone and Welcome to the Beyond! sections as they'll still stay (minus the entertainment discussions). If I don't get any further suggestions by Sunday (Saturday in the US/Canada) the changes will be made and alterations can be done later.

Looks good, all I can think of is adding a technology/tech support section, and maybe a general art/hobby section as well.
You got Fan Stuff in the anime and reboot section, but none for just General Art were people could recommend or talk about drawing styles and techniques and drawing programs. The Hobby part could include toy collections and modeling, along with anything else people make\do.
