I would say that an xbox or playstation would be a system built to withstand the rigours of constant game play and most likely wouldn't have the damaged sectors like they proposed in the series for Mainframe. On the other hand, if its an older xbox that suffers the 'red rings of death' then there's a possibility you could have a viral sprite who causes the system to overload or something...
