A lot of Kuroshitsuji fangirls (and boys) are a bit upset about a second season of Kuroshitsuji without Sebastian and Ciel. But really, if you are going to do a new series with these two characters returning in it, then it would have to be a prequel...
Regardless, I think the new series looks interesting. New demon butler and young master, definitely different personalities in comparison to Sebastian and Ciel. After viewing the preview on the official website (
http://www.kuroshitsuji.tv/intro/pv02.html ), it seems clear that its far more serious than the original series. No bumbling maid, or cook that can't cook, or a gardener that doesn't know his own strength. The new butler is named Claude Faustus and his young master, who appears to be royalty of some kind - a much higher level of stature than Ciel - is named Alois Trancy. The only real similarity apart from the Demon Butler/Master relationship to the original series is Claude's ability with the cutlery and dinnerware lol. Alois appears to be a bit more outgoing and more emotional than Ciel ever was and Claude doesn't appear to show a demonic smile as often as Sebastian did lol.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing this new series. I'm figuring I may go through and re-watch the original series before it comes out in July. (BTW Funimation has recently announced that they have bought the rights to the original Kuroshitsuji series).
